Gite Armieux

Le Gite Armieux is rented as a whole: the 40 m² house has one bedroom, a living room and a bathroom. It accommodates up to four people, with a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. This layout suits couples, small families and travellers who want a separate living area for sleeping and relaxing. The bedroom and living room are part of the same accommodation, with no separate room categories.

The kitchenette lets you prepare meals and includes a fridge, oven, hob, microwave and kitchenware. The house has air conditioning and the bathroom is fitted with a bathtub. The terrace overlooking the garden extends the living space outdoors, and the barbecue is another option for mealtimes. A flat-screen TV, coffee machine, bed linen and towels are also provided.

The garden and furnished terrace make outdoor activities a key feature. You can eat outside, use the barbecue or relax on the sunny terrace. A picnic area and outdoor furniture add to these spaces. Bicycle rental also makes it easy to plan a ride around Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Families can make use of the children's playground, as well as board games and puzzles.

Indoors, air conditioning and heating make the house comfortable at different times of year. The kitchenette is equipped for cooking, with a fridge, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and kitchenware. A coffee machine and dining table are also provided. Indoor private parking is free, as is Wi-Fi. The reception is open 24 hours a day. Pets are allowed, although an additional charge may apply.

Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer lies in the Rhône delta, amid the ponds, marshes and open land of the Camargue. The landscape ranges from wetlands and pasture to the Mediterranean coast, attracting birdwatchers, horse lovers and those drawn to wide-open horizons. The village centre is home to Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer Church, the bullring and shopping streets. Beyond the village, roads pass marshes and wilder landscapes characteristic of this part of the Bouches-du-Rhône department.

The Parc ornithologique de Pont de Gau, 1.7 km away, has trails and observation points where you can watch flamingos and other Camargue birds. Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer Church and the bullring are in the village, 3.2 km and 3.3 km away. There are several beaches along the coast, including Plage du Crin Blanc, 2.6 km away. A car makes it easier to travel between the property, the centre and the different natural areas; Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is accessible by car.

Spring and autumn are good seasons for birdwatching, when the wetlands offer plenty of opportunities for walks. In summer, the sea and beaches draw more visitors and temperatures can be high, so it is best to plan walks for early morning or late afternoon. A day can combine a stroll through the marshes, a visit to the village and some time by the water. Cycling is another way to enjoy the flat roads and landscapes of the Camargue.
