Raphèle-lès-Arles is a village near Arles, in the Crau plain. The landscape is a mix of farmland, mas and small localities, with the Alpilles on the horizon. This address suits travellers who want a quiet stay and have a car to explore the surrounding area. The village retains a local community, while Arles's main sights are within reach for a day trip.

In Arles, the amphitheatre bears witness to the Roman era and still hosts events; the old town can also be explored on foot, among its narrow streets, squares and historic façades. Montmajour Abbey, a former Romanesque monastic complex, can be visited in the countryside to the north-east of the city. The villages of Raphèle-lès-Arles and Moulès offer a glimpse of the area's rural character. Saint-Martin-de-Crau railway station is 5 km away; Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is 27 km away.

A car makes it easier to travel between Arles, the Crau and the landscapes of the Alpilles. In spring and autumn, temperatures are often pleasant for visiting monuments and walking in the countryside; summer brings warm weather and long days, making early-morning outings and breaks by the pool a good option. Set aside a day for Arles's historic centre, then another for the abbey and nearby villages. Nature lovers can spend their stay exploring the region's trails and cycling routes.
