To explore the city, you can spend a morning visiting museums and the central avenues, then head down to the sea for an evening stroll. The Mediterranean climate makes Nice pleasant in every season: summer is hot and lively, while spring and autumn are well suited to exploring on foot. In winter, the days are still good for outings in the city, with less heat than in summer. From the centre, trams and trains make it easy to get around the city and to nearby towns.
