For another outing, Port-Grimaud offers canals and colourful houses, while Gassin gives you the chance to discover a hilltop village and views over the gulf. Toulon-Hyères Airport is 40 km away.

Summer brings heavy crowds to the beaches and port; setting out early lets you enjoy the seafront before the busiest hours. Spring and September are good times for walks and boat trips, with a generally quieter atmosphere than in high summer.
