For a day without a car, spend the morning at the market or wandering the lanes, then visit a museum and head to the port in the late afternoon. In summer, allow more time for journeys around the gulf and choose cooler hours for walks. Spring and early autumn let you enjoy the seafront with generally fewer visitors. Pampelonne Beach and Provence’s wine estates are good options for an excursion in the surrounding area.
