Hotel Monte-Cristo

Hotel Monte-Cristo offers a double room with a kitchen, a single room with a private bathroom and a double room with shared toilets. The rooms measure 10 or 12 m² and accommodate one or two people. They have a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom; some overlook the city. The double room with a kitchen also includes a refrigerator, a microwave, a kettle and kitchenware.

The other two rooms have a dining area or a table, and are soundproofed. In the single room, which is on a floor accessible only by stairs, you will find a desk and a dining table. The single room and the double room with a kitchen are furnished with a single bed; the other double room has a double bed. The toilets are shared in the latter.

The rooms have free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and a bathroom with a shower or bath. Air conditioning, soundproofing and heating are among the facilities available. Depending on the room type, you will also find a city view, a desk, a dining table or a dining area. Some rooms include a refrigerator, a microwave, an electric kettle and kitchenware.

The reception is open 24 hours a day. Family rooms and non-smoking rooms are available. Bathroom facilities include towels, free toiletries and a hairdryer. A fan, ironing facilities and electric blankets complete the amenities. Wi-Fi is available free of charge in the rooms. The hotel does not have parking; you can get around the city centre on foot or by metro, with stations in the neighbourhood.

The Musée Cantini displays modern art, while the Palais Longchamp brings together an extensive garden, museums and monumental architecture. Noailles and Vieux-Port metro stations make it easy to travel between the city centre, the railway station and the coastal neighbourhoods. Marseille-Saint-Charles railway station connects the city to the national rail network.

For a first visit, spend a day exploring the historic centre, the Vieux-Port and the museums, then set aside another outing for the seafront. You can reach the urban beaches from the city centre by public transport or on foot, depending on your route. In spring and autumn, temperatures often make it comfortable to explore outdoors without the summer heat. In summer, plan visits to neighbourhoods and monuments for early in the day, then save the hottest hours for a break by the water.
