La Bastide au Ventoux

Carpentras railway station, 14 km away, connects the area to the regional rail network; a car makes it easier to travel between villages and trails. Mont Ventoux is the main natural landmark for excursions, whether on foot or by bike.

Spring and autumn bring pleasant temperatures for walking or cycling along the roads, while summer attracts more visitors and invites you to enjoy the swimming pool after an outing. In June and July, lavender fields colour parts of the Vaucluse landscape. A day might begin with a climb or a hike, continue in a nearby village and end with local wines. For longer outings at altitude, it is best to bring water and clothing suited to changing temperatures.
