La Carriera, petite maison Provençale sud Ventoux, climatisée

La Carriera is rented as a whole and has two bedrooms, a separate living room and a private bathroom. The 60 m² house can accommodate up to four people, according to the room capacity. Each bedroom has a double bed; there is a sofa bed in the living room. The layout is suited to a family stay or a trip with friends and family, with separate spaces for sleeping and spending time together.

The private kitchen brings together the facilities you need to prepare meals: an oven, hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. The house also has a washing machine, a bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, and air conditioning. The terrace and city view are further features of the house. Outdoor furniture and a dining area let you eat outside, while the living room provides space to relax after a day of walking or cycling.

Sainte-Colombe is a small hamlet in Provence, in the Bédoin area, at the foot of Mont Ventoux. The landscape alternates between villages, cultivated land and hills that grow more pronounced as you approach the massif. This part of Vaucluse attracts cycling and hiking enthusiasts, as well as travellers who want to discover Provençal villages and explore country roads. Bédoin, 3.4 km away, offers a reference point for village services and routes towards Ventoux.

Mont Ventoux dominates the area’s routes: its roads are well known to cyclists, while the trails let you explore different sides of the massif. The village of Flassan is nearby, and Crillon-le-Brave is 6.3 km away; the latter is a hilltop village with narrow streets and open views of the surrounding landscape. Les Demoiselles Coiffées, 1.4 km away, are remarkable natural formations. Carpentras railway station is 16 km away. Marseille Provence Airport is 74 km away.

Spring and autumn are well suited to walks and cycling, with temperatures often milder than in the height of summer. In summer, warm days make an early start appealing, particularly for cycling up Ventoux’s roads or walking its trails. You can combine a day out in the massif with a stop in a neighbouring village, then enjoy a meal outdoors on your return. A car makes it easier to travel between hamlets, villages and trailheads if you want to explore the landscape beyond the main roads.
