La Petite Saunerie

La Petite Saunerie offers five double rooms, all for two people and equipped with a private bathroom and air conditioning. Each room also has a coffee machine and city views. The names distinguish the Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and rooms with individual names, such as La Contemporaine, La Bourgeoise, La Romantique and La Jeanne. Room sizes range from 20 to 35 m². La Bourgeoise is the largest and stands out for its seating area. La Romantique has a bathtub in its bathroom, but its toilet is outside the room.

Several rooms have a flat-screen TV, while La Romantique also has a power socket near the bed. The rooms are furnished with storage, bed linen and towels. Each category retains its own features, whether room size, seating area or bathroom layout.

Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the property. The rooms have air conditioning and a private bathroom, and some categories also include a flat-screen TV. Bathrooms have a shower or bathtub, towels, toilet paper and a hairdryer. An iron is also available. Family rooms and non-smoking rooms are among the accommodation options.

Continental breakfast is included and can be served in your room. Massages are available for added relaxation. Heating is available in the house, and an invoice can be provided on request. La Petite Saunerie is in Avignon’s historic centre, where restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Avignon-Centre railway station is 800 m away. The property has no parking, so if you arrive by car, you will need to arrange parking elsewhere. Chipo, the house cat, is on site.

Its historic centre is surrounded by city walls and is easy to explore on foot, among old streets, lively squares and stone façades. La Petite Saunerie is set within this historic fabric, on a central street where monuments and local amenities are a short distance apart. The neighbourhood suits travellers drawn to heritage, museums and urban walks.

The Palace of the Popes dominates the city and tells the story of Avignon’s role in the history of the papacy. Nearby, Notre-Dame-des-Doms Cathedral and Place de l’Horloge extend the visit around historic buildings and terraces. Pont Saint-Bénézet, made famous by the song “Sur le pont d’Avignon”, offers a walk with views of the Rhône and its scenery. Les Halles d'Avignon is a place to discover local produce and regional specialities. Avignon-Centre railway station is 800 m away; the TGV station is 4.5 km away. The city can be explored on foot from the centre, and no parking is available on site.

Avignon can be visited all year round, with a particularly vibrant cultural scene in summer during the Festival d’Avignon. A day can combine a visit to the Palace of the Popes, a walk through the streets within the city walls and a break at Les Halles. In spring and autumn, the temperatures are pleasant for walks along the Rhône and in the Provençal villages nearby. In summer, allow time for indoor visits during the hottest hours and enjoy the evenings in the old centre.
