Le chêne vert

Le chêne vert is rented as a whole: the 83 m² villa has two bedrooms and accommodates up to four guests. This arrangement suits families or two couples who want to share a house while having separate bedrooms. Both bedrooms each have a large double bed; the two bathrooms are shared by everyone staying at the villa.

The living areas bring together the kitchen, dining area and lounge. The kitchen includes a fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, hob and coffee machine. Air conditioning, a washing machine and a flat-screen TV complete the indoor facilities. The villa also has a terrace, outdoor furniture and garden views. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is a village in the Rhône delta, between lagoons, marshes and the Mediterranean. You can explore the Camargue through its open landscapes, reed beds and herds of horses and bulls. The village combines local life, Camargue traditions and seaside tourism; it suits travellers who want to alternate between the beach, walks and heritage visits. The streets in the centre are easy to explore on foot from rue Jean Jaurès.

Église Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer, a historic landmark in the village, is 150 m from the villa. Plage des Arènes is 400 m away, and the coast also offers long walks by the water. Parc ornithologique de Pont de Gau, 4.4 km away, lets you observe birds in its managed marshes and natural areas of the Camargue. Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is 32 km away. A car makes it easier to visit the natural areas and nearby villages; the villa’s private parking lets you leave it on site.

In spring and autumn, temperatures are often pleasant for walking or cycling through the landscapes of the delta. In summer, the beaches and village are busier, while the cooler hours are better suited to walks and birdwatching. For a varied day, you can visit the church and narrow streets in the morning, spend the afternoon by the coast, then explore the marshes and their paths on another outing. Hiking routes and horse-riding activities offer other ways to explore the area.
