Le Jardin d'Emile

The rooms at Le Jardin d'Emile stand out for their individual decor and views of the sea or garden. Several room types have a terrace, while some rooms have a balcony. They are equipped with air conditioning, a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV; several also include a minibar. Some rooms have a coffee machine.

The two Family Junior Suites offer 32 m² of space and can accommodate up to four people. One has a sofa bed and a large double bed, while the other has a large double bed and two single beds. The 350 m² holiday home brings together seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, along with two living rooms. Capacity varies by accommodation; double rooms sleep two or three people, depending on the room type.

Le Jardin d'Emile’s facilities cover everyday needs, with a 24-hour reception, luggage storage and a wake-up service. The outdoor areas include a garden, a sun terrace, outdoor furniture and a dining area. A solarium and a games room complete the shared spaces. Parking is also available.

The rooms are air-conditioned and have a private bathroom, toiletries, towels and a hairdryer. A wardrobe or clothes rack, desk, alarm clock and bedside socket are among the amenities. Depending on the room, you’ll find an electric kettle, a fridge or a tea and coffee maker. A flat-screen TV, cable channels and a telephone are among the media facilities. Internet access and a laptop safe complete the services on offer.

Cassis is a Provençal harbour between the Mediterranean and the limestone peaks of the Calanques massif. The old harbour, lined with colourful façades and boats, sets the pace of the village; the beaches and trails also draw swimmers and walkers. Le Jardin d'Emile is near the shore, in an area where you can walk between the harbour and Grande Mer Beach.

Calanques National Park features white cliffs, pine forests and coves; Calanque de Port-Miou is a popular starting point for coastal walks. Cap Canaille towers over the bay and can be seen from scenic roads or hiking trails. In the village, Cassis Castle and Saint-Michel Church reflect the area’s history. Cassis train station is 2.7 km away, while Marseille Provence Airport is 33 km away. A car can make it easier to explore the calanques and hills, but the centre and nearby beaches are within walking distance.

In summer, the coast is busy, and the days are well suited to swimming, boat trips and early starts on the trails. Spring and the shoulder season bring milder temperatures for walking around Cap Canaille or visiting the harbour without the summer crowds. A day can combine a walk in the calanques, a break on the seafront and a visit to the village’s narrow streets. Wind can affect sea conditions, so choose water-based activities according to the day’s weather.
