Le Nid

Le Nid offers three holiday homes: an 80 m² two-bedroom house and two one-bedroom houses measuring 38 and 35 m². The largest accommodates up to six people; the other two accommodate two and three people respectively. All have a private bathroom and a garden view. The kitchens are equipped for preparing meals, with a refrigerator, coffee machine and utensils among the facilities.

The homes differ in size, layout and facilities. The two-bedroom house has a dishwasher and air conditioning, while the other two have a terrace and barbecue. The 38 m² house has one bedroom and a sofa bed; the 35 m² house also has one bedroom and a sofa bed. The largest house has two separate bedrooms and two sofa beds in the living room. These layouts suit couples, families and groups alike.

Le Nid’s facilities combine outdoor spaces with practical services for different types of stay. The garden and sun terrace provide places to sit outside; a picnic area and outdoor furniture add to these spaces. A barbecue and barbecue facilities are also available. The homes include a kitchen with a refrigerator, hob, electric kettle and coffee machine, as well as a washing machine.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Pets are allowed, possibly for an additional charge, and pet bowls are provided. Public parking is available nearby and costs €5 per stay. The neighbourhood around Chemin de Lopy is residential and away from the centre’s main thoroughfares, while remaining connected to the city’s main sights. The city suits visitors looking to combine heritage, urban walks and food stops.

The Palace of the Popes dominates the old town and reflects Avignon’s role in the history of the papacy. Not far from the palace, Pont Saint-Bénézet, known as the bridge of Avignon, retains several arches above the Rhône. The central museums, including Collection Lambert and Musée Calvet, offer a chance to spend a day exploring art and local collections. Avignon-Centre train station is 1.0 km away; the TGV station is 1.7 km away. The Palace of the Popes is 2 km away and the bridge is 2.2 km away. Walking is a good way to explore the old town’s streets, ramparts and main squares.

Spring and autumn are good seasons for exploring on foot, with temperatures often milder than in the height of summer. In July, the Festival d’Avignon brings performances to the city’s theatres and heritage sites; this period also attracts more visitors. You could start the day with a visit to the Palace of the Popes, continue through the old town’s streets and finish by the Rhône. Trips to the villages and landscapes of Vaucluse are easier by car.
