Le Regardeur

Each of the three double rooms accommodates two people: two overlook the town and the third overlooks the inner courtyard. All have air conditioning, a private bathroom with free toiletries, a shower or bath, and a hairdryer. They measure 18 or 20 m².

Two rooms overlook the town and differ in their beds: one has an extra-large double bed, while the other has a large double bed. The third, slightly larger at 20 m², overlooks the inner courtyard and also has an extra-large double bed. The rooms have a desk, a wardrobe and tiled or marble flooring. The upper floors are accessible by lift.

Le Regardeur provides free Wi-Fi throughout the bed and breakfast. The rooms are air-conditioned and have a private bathroom with a shower or bath, free toiletries and a hairdryer. You can have a buffet or continental breakfast; room service is also available for breakfast. The shared lounge provides an indoor space to take a break between visits.

Pets are welcome at no extra charge, and bowls are provided for them. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is a small Provençal town in the Alpilles, with a lively old centre and stone façades. Le Regardeur is on Rue Carnot, in an area where you can visit historic buildings, museums and town squares on foot. The market and streets in the centre offer a glimpse of local life, while the limestone landscapes of the Alpilles attract hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

The old town is 50 m away and the Musée Estrine, which displays works associated with Vincent van Gogh, is 70 m away. The Musée des Alpilles tells the story of the region’s natural and cultural heritage; the Collégiale Saint-Martin is also in the centre. To see ancient remains, the Glanum site and the Plateau des Antiques are 1.4 km away. Tarascon railway station is 14 km away and Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is 32 km away; a car makes it easier to explore the surrounding villages and trails.

The Alpilles are well suited to walks in spring and autumn, when temperatures are often milder for hiking. In summer, plan heritage visits for the morning and save the hottest hours for a break in the shade. A day can combine the centre of Saint-Rémy, the remains at Glanum and a hike along the Alpilles trails. Art lovers can also visit places associated with Van Gogh’s time in the region, then return to town to explore its museums and Provençal architecture.
