Les Chambres de la Relève

Les Chambres de la Relève offers four Deluxe Double Rooms and a Studio with Terrace. The former are for two people, except for one room that can accommodate three. All have air conditioning and a private bathroom with a shower. They range in size from 20 to 25 m²; one also has a bathtub, and another has a sofa. Bed configurations vary by room, with extra-large double beds in several units.

The studio sleeps two and offers 27 m² with a different layout: a kitchenette with a fridge and utensils, a coffee machine, an outdoor dining area and a terrace overlooking the city. The bathrooms have a shower. The double rooms share practical amenities, including an electric kettle, a wardrobe or clothes rack and a hairdryer. These spaces suit both a short city break and a stay in Marseille lasting a few days.

The Saint-Victor neighbourhood retains the atmosphere of a Marseille suburb, with streets animated by everyday comings and goings and open views towards the port. It is an interesting area for alternating urban walks, cultural visits and breaks by the water.

Saint-Victor Basilica bears witness to the city’s religious history, while Palais du Pharo and its gardens overlook the entrance to the port. Mucem, dedicated to the civilisations of Europe and the Mediterranean, offers exhibitions and striking contemporary architecture. Plage des Catalans provides a break by the sea; it is 850 m away. The Old Port, 800 m away, remains a landmark for walks along the quays and departures to the islands. Vieux-Port metro station makes it easy to get around the centre, and Marseille Saint-Charles railway station is 1.9 km away.

To make the most of Marseille, allow time to explore the narrow streets of Saint-Victor and walk down to the quays. Sunny days are well suited to a walk along the coast or a visit to Mucem, while museums and monuments offer alternatives when the mistral blows. In summer, the beaches get busier, and the heat makes it worth planning visits for the morning or late afternoon. Spring and the late season are pleasant times to explore the city without spending your entire stay swimming.
