Les Geckos

Les Geckos offers five double rooms, each designed for two people. Four are 14 m² and the fifth is 16 m². Each has a private bathroom, air conditioning, a terrace and a private entrance. A flat-screen TV, coffee machine and minibar complete the in-room amenities. Each room also has a private swimming pool.

Four rooms have a large double bed, while the Double Room has two single beds. Several rooms overlook the garden; one of them offers a pool view. The 16 m² room overlooks the garden. All rooms have a terrace and a private entrance.

The outdoor swimming pool is open seasonally, and the rooms also have private swimming pools. The garden and terrace provide outdoor spaces with furniture, sun loungers and parasols. The pool is enclosed by a fence. Air conditioning, heating and soundproofing are among the room amenities; floors are tiled or marble, and the accommodation is on the ground floor with a private entrance.

The rooms include a private bathroom, a shower or bath, a toilet, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Bed linen and towels are provided, with towels or sheets available for an additional charge. A coffee machine, minibar and flat-screen TV are also provided. Breakfast is served as a continental breakfast or buffet. Private parking is free, and Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the property.

Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is on the Camargue coast, between the Rhône delta, the marshes and the Mediterranean. The village combines Camargue traditions with a way of life centred on the sea. The surrounding landscapes alternate between lagoons, reed beds, beaches and pastures where you may spot white horses and bulls. This destination suits travellers who enjoy open spaces, nature walks and days by the water.

The Parc Ornithologique de Pont de Gau, 1.8 km away, has trails through the marshes where you can observe birds, including flamingos. In the village, Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer Church and the arena reflect local history and traditions. The Musée des Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer showcases the region's heritage. Several beaches, including Crin Blanc Beach, stretch along the coast. A car makes it easier to travel between the village, the lagoons and different parts of the coast; Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is 29 km away.

In spring and autumn, temperatures are often suitable for walks and wildlife watching in the marshes. Summer draws more visitors to the beaches; it is best to plan outdoor activities for the morning or late afternoon. You could spend a day walking the trails in the bird park, visiting the village and spending a few hours by the Mediterranean. The landscapes change with the seasons, shaped by migratory birds and pastoral activities.
