Liberté

Liberté offers two double rooms, each sleeping two people and with a private bathroom. Both overlook the garden and include a desk, bed linen and a hairdryer. They have different layouts.

The first room measures 40 m² and has a patio, a seating area, a bath and a separate shower. The second, measuring 35 m², has a shower and also overlooks the garden; it is on an upper floor accessible by stairs only and offers access to the executive lounge. Both rooms have an extra-large double bed. Each also has a shared toilet.

Liberté provides free high-speed internet, with a stated speed of 299 Mbps. The shared areas include a lounge with a piano and an outdoor dining area. Breakfast is among the services offered. Bike hire is also available for getting around.

Guests travelling with a pet can use the bowls and pet basket, and pets are welcome at no extra charge. The property is adults-only and has non-smoking rooms, some of which are allergy-free. Check-in and check-out can be arranged privately, with an express check-in and check-out option. A concierge service and access to the executive lounge round out the amenities. Public parking spaces are available on the street, including spaces accessible to guests with reduced mobility.

Marseille stretches between the Mediterranean and limestone hills, with a lively urban centre where old neighbourhoods, wide boulevards and cultural attractions sit side by side. Liberté is in the Saint-Charles station area, north of the historic centre. This part of the city suits travellers who want to use public transport and explore the shopping streets, museums and central squares on foot. The cityscape changes quickly as you head towards the port, where the quays and boats reflect Marseille’s long-standing connection with the sea.

Saint-Charles station is 260 m away and Saint-Charles metro station is 150 m away. The Mémorial de La Marseillaise, dedicated to the history of the French national anthem, is 420 m away. Head downhill towards the Vieux-Port for its quays, boat connections and waterfront promenades. The Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations, near Fort Saint-Jean, explores Mediterranean cultures and the history of the region. Several Marseille beaches are accessible by public transport or car. Marseille-Provence Airport is 18 km away; the drive takes around 25 minutes, depending on traffic.

Spring and autumn are good times to explore the city on foot, with temperatures often pleasant, while summer lends itself to alternating city visits with swimming, taking the heat and crowds into account. You could start the day in the central streets and visit a museum, then continue along the Vieux-Port quays. The hills and calanques offer another side of the region for an excursion, with landscapes of scrubland and white rock. The metro makes it easy to get back to the station and travel between different neighbourhoods.
