Manade des Baumelles

The accommodation at Manade des Baumelles comprises double rooms, a quadruple room, a suite with a spa bath and two apartments. The rooms have a private bathroom, air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. The quadruple room overlooks the garden and sleeps up to four people. The double rooms differ in size and, in one case, have a terrace.

The 60 m² suite combines a seating area, an equipped kitchen and a spa bath, and overlooks the garden. The 50 m² apartments have a separate bedroom, a living room and a kitchen; one has a terrace overlooking the garden. Depending on the category, facilities include a coffee machine, an oven or a dishwasher. Sleeping arrangements vary between the rooms and apartments, which accommodate up to four people.

Manade des Baumelles provides free private parking on site. The garden and outdoor areas let you enjoy the rural Camargue surroundings. You can hire bicycles, go walking, horse riding or cycling; canoeing and hiking are also available in the surrounding area. Themed dinners add to the activities.

The restaurant serves lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday. There is a café on site, and children's menus and menus for special diets can be requested. The Parc Ornithologique de Pont de Gau, 4.4 km away, is a place to observe marsh birds, including flamingos. The village of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is about 8 km away: its fortified church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer towers over the narrow streets and bears witness to the importance of the pilgrimage. Crin Blanc Beach is also 8 km away, while coastal trails offer walks overlooking the lagoons and sea. To explore the agricultural landscape and the manades, secondary roads cross grazing land and rice fields.

Spring and autumn are pleasant for walking and cycling, with milder temperatures than in midsummer. Summer days are suited to outings along the coast, but can be hot; it is useful to bring water and sun protection. A day could combine a morning of birdwatching at Pont de Gau, a stop in the village, then a walk on the beach in the late afternoon. Nature lovers can spend more time exploring the marshes and delta paths, where the landscape changes with the seasons and the light.
