Mas Le Sauvage

Mas Le Sauvage offers three room categories: a Superior Double Room, a Family Room and a Single Room with Garden View. All have a private bathroom, a television and a terrace. The garden is the shared outlook from the rooms, which are on the ground floor and have a private entrance.

The Family Room is the largest, at 35 m², and sleeps up to four people. The Superior Double Room is 20 m² and accommodates two guests. For one person, the 10 m² room offers a more compact space, with garden views and a terrace. The two more spacious categories have air conditioning and a minibar; the Single Room also has a private entrance and heating. Each room has bed linen and a private bathroom.

Outdoor spaces are a key feature at Mas Le Sauvage: you can enjoy the Camargue landscape in the garden and on the terrace, and each room has its own terrace. Family rooms accommodate groups, while the non-smoking rooms have a flat-screen television. Air conditioning, a private entrance and heating are also among the facilities available.

Breakfast can be served in your room. Parking is free and private, with advance reservation. Free Wi-Fi is available in the shared areas. The guest house also offers bicycle hire and daily housekeeping. Pets are allowed on request; a supplement may apply. A private bathroom, towels, bed linen and shower facilities complete the room amenities.

Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is a Camargue village between the Rhône and the Mediterranean, characterised by flat landscapes, marshes and traditions associated with horses and bulls. The village centre brings together low-rise houses, lively squares and Provençal heritage; the coast offers long beaches and open natural spaces. Mas Le Sauvage is on Route de Baccarat, in a rural area where a car makes it easier to get to the village, beaches and Camargue sites.

The Pont de Gau Ornithological Park, 1.3 km away, lets you observe marsh birds, including pink flamingos, from marked trails. In the village, Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer Church and the bullring reflect local history and bullfighting traditions. The Museum of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer presents the region’s identity and heritage. The Mediterranean beaches offer a different pace, with swimming, walks on the sand and coastal scenery. Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is 28 km away.

For a day of sightseeing, start with the trails and observation points at Pont de Gau, then head to the village to visit the church and explore its streets. A trip to the coast offers a change of scenery, while an excursion into the marshes reveals the Camargue’s wildlife and wide-open spaces. In spring and autumn, temperatures are often milder for walking and birdwatching; in summer, plan outdoor activities for early morning or late afternoon, when it is cooler.
