SOWELL RESIDENCES Les Mazets

The accommodation consists of two-bedroom villas measuring 50 m², with a living room, private bathroom and terrace. They suit families or small groups looking for independent living space and the option to prepare meals on site. All have a kitchenette equipped with a hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher, as well as a dining table and coffee machine. The bath and toilet are in the bathroom.

The three configurations listed differ in capacity and sleeping arrangements. Some accommodate up to six people with two single beds, a double bed and a sofa bed; another has a single bed, a double bed and a sofa bed for five people. The third, for four people, has two single beds and a double bed, with no sofa bed. A television and air conditioning complete the villas' facilities.

Leisure is an important part of the resort: you can play tennis, mini golf, squash or table tennis, and use the badminton and tennis equipment. Walking and cycling trips are also ways to explore the surrounding area. A playground, children's club and entertainment team add to the activities for families. A golf course is less than three kilometres away.

The villas have a terrace and garden, while the restaurant and bar offer meals and drinks on site. The kitchenettes include the equipment you need to cook, including a hob, fridge and dishwasher. Free private parking is available on site. Pets are allowed, possibly for an additional charge. The resort does not have an internet connection. Reception is open daily from 07:00 to 23:00; check-in is from 17:00 to 20:30.

Arles lies between the Rhône and the open landscapes of the Camargue, in a city where Roman heritage meets the narrow streets of the old town. Fourchon, south-east of the centre, is a newer, less densely built-up district, with leisure facilities and villa accommodation. A car is useful for reaching the monuments, exploring the surrounding countryside and venturing towards the Camargue's ponds and marshes.

The Arles arena, a Roman amphitheatre still used for events, is 3.2 km away. In the centre, old streets, ancient ruins and squares invite you to explore on foot; the Museum of Ancient Arles traces the history of the city and its surrounding area. Arles railway station is 4 km away and connects the city to the regional rail network. For car journeys, Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is 20 km away. Beyond the city, the Camargue offers routes through rice fields, marshes and wetlands, where birdwatching is a popular activity.

You could start the day at the arena and in the old town's narrow streets, then visit a museum or walk along the Rhône. For a change of scenery, spend another day exploring the Camargue landscapes and villages, and plan to use a car. Spring and autumn are pleasant for walking and visiting the sights without the summer heat; in summer, choose early morning or late afternoon outings. Markets and cultural events also bring life to Arles throughout the year.
