Villa Aigarden

Villa Aigarden offers three types of accommodation: the Superior Double Room, Superior Suite and Standard Double Room. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and a hairdryer. They range in size from 12 to 35 m², and the maximum occupancy is two to three guests. The Superior Double Room and the suite have a kitchen and overlook the garden, while the standard room offers a more compact space.

The Superior Double Room has a kitchen with a kettle and a garden view. The Superior Suite offers more space, a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher and a seating area; it also has a garden view. The Standard Double Room measures 12 m² and overlooks a quiet street. The villa's outdoor swimming pool and garden provide additional spaces to enjoy. The beds are double beds, with an alternative twin-bed configuration in the standard room.

Villa Aigarden combines outdoor spaces with useful amenities for a stay in Avignon. The outdoor swimming pool, garden and sun terrace offer places to take a break between visits. A picnic area, outdoor furniture and an al fresco dining area also let you enjoy the grounds. Some rooms have a private swimming pool.

The accommodation includes a private bathroom, shower, towels, bed linen, slippers and free toiletries. An electric kettle is provided, along with a socket by the bed and a clothes rack. Internet access is free, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Parking is available, including private parking nearby. The guest house welcomes adults and has non-smoking rooms. You can enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling and hiking; board games and puzzles are also available.

Avignon lies in the Rhône plain, behind its medieval ramparts. Its old town, with narrow streets, squares and historic façades, is easy to explore on foot. The city combines Provençal life with remarkable heritage: terraces bring the squares to life, while the monuments recall its role as the popes' residence in the 14th century. Villa Aigarden is in an urban area north of the centre, convenient for reaching the historic districts and public transport.

The Palace of the Popes, a vast fortified complex overlooking Place du Palais, is 1.4 km away. From the monument, the streets of the centre lead to shops and lively squares. Pont Saint-Bénézet, famous for its arches over the Rhône and its song, is 1.6 km away. Les Halles d'Avignon brings together stalls selling regional produce and Provençal specialities; the market is open in the morning. Avignon-Centre train station is 1.4 km away and provides rail connections. The ramparts enclose much of the central area, making walks pleasant.

Spring and autumn are well suited to strolls around the old town, with temperatures often milder than in summer. In July, the Festival d'Avignon turns streets and venues into performance spaces; it is worth planning visits and travel with the crowds in mind. For a well-paced day, start at the Palace of the Popes, continue to the bridge, and leave time to wander the narrow streets or explore the market produce. The late-afternoon light brings out the ramparts and views of the Rhône.
