Bastide des 7 Sœurs

The five rooms at La Bastide des 7 Sœurs are air-conditioned and each has a private bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries. They measure 30 or 40 m² and accommodate two or three people. Several overlook the garden; bed linen and towels are provided. One of the 40 m² rooms also has a bath.

Of the 40 m² rooms, two accommodate three people with a double bed and a single bed, while the third is for two people and has a bath and a shower. The two 30 m² rooms overlook the garden and can accommodate two people. One has a flat-screen TV. A wardrobe and heating complete the room facilities; some rooms also have a socket near the bed.

The seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool is accompanied by a landscaped garden, outdoor furniture and terraces, including a sun terrace. Sun loungers and parasols let you enjoy the outdoor spaces. A sauna is also available for relaxing. The shared lounge has a TV area, and there is a café on site.

Guests have access to free private parking and free Wi-Fi throughout the guest house. The rooms are non-smoking and air-conditioned; heating is also available. Pool or beach towels are provided for outdoor use. Daily housekeeping is available. The smoking area is separate from the non-smoking areas. Roussillon is a village in the Luberon known for its warm-coloured façades and ochre-rich earth. Its lanes wind through Provençal scenery shaped by colourful cliffs, pine trees and hills. The village is best explored on foot; its colours change with the light, giving the landscape a distinctive character. The area suits travellers who enjoy combining walks, heritage and short stops in different villages.

The Sentier des Ocres trail runs through former quarries and offers views of the rock’s red and yellow hues, 2.4 km away. The village of Roussillon is 2.9 km away, with lanes to explore and viewpoints to visit. In Gargas, the Mines de Bruoux offer an insight into the heritage of ochre extraction. The ôkhra ecomuseum, housed in a former ochre factory, also tells the story of this local resource. The villages of Gordes and Ménerbes offer further opportunities to discover the hilltop architecture of the Luberon.

Spring and autumn are pleasant times for walking and visiting villages without the summer heat. In summer, plan walks for early morning or late in the day, when the cliff colours emerge in softer light. Late June and July are associated with lavender flowering in several parts of Provence. You can spend a day combining a trail through ochre landscapes, a stop in a nearby village and a return to the garden or swimming pool.
