In spring and early autumn, temperatures are suitable for walks and sightseeing, and visitor numbers are often lower than in the height of summer. In July and August, the beaches and roads around the cape are very busy, so it is better to head out early and allow extra time for getting around. You could spend the morning swimming, visit the gardens or old town in the afternoon, then take a walk by the sea at the end of the day. A car makes it easier to get around the cape, but you can also reach the beaches and several sights on foot from the surrounding area.
