Cerise en Provence

The three homes at Cerise en Provence are independent units with a kitchen and private bathroom. They offer 48, 50 or 60 m² of space and can accommodate up to four people. The two one-bedroom homes have a living room with a sofa bed; the two-bedroom home also has a separate sleeping area. Bed arrangements vary between the homes, with a double bed or a large double bed and additional sleeping places in the living room.

The homes have a terrace and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. They overlook the garden and mountains; the 60 m² home also has a dishwasher. The kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle and kitchenware. Air conditioning is available in all three homes for an additional charge. The outdoor facilities and barbecue complete the private spaces.

The outdoor areas include a garden, a terrace, outdoor furniture and an al fresco dining area. You can use the barbecue and enjoy activities in the area, such as walking, hiking, horse riding, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Board games and puzzles are also available. The homes are independent and located on the ground floor.

Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. Free private parking is provided on site without prior reservation, and an electric vehicle charging station is available. The kitchens are equipped for preparing meals, with a coffee machine, kettle, oven, refrigerator and kitchenware, among other items. The accommodation has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Air conditioning is available for an additional charge. There is a mini-market on site, and activities include tours or classes about local culture.

Venasque is a hilltop village in the Vaucluse, set on a promontory overlooking the Provençal landscape. Its old lanes, stone houses and views of the hills make it a peaceful place to explore the countryside on foot or by car. The surrounding area combines villages, forests and limestone hills; Mont Ventoux marks the horizon and attracts walkers and cyclists. The pace is that of the Provençal countryside, with villages to explore and paths crossing the landscape.

The village of Venasque is 1.7 km away. For a cultural outing, Sénanque Abbey, a Cistercian monastery surrounded by fields and hills, is 7.2 km away. Mont Ventoux, 3.3 km away, offers hiking trails and roads popular with cyclists. Gordes and the Village des Bories showcase the dry-stone architecture of the Luberon. Carpentras train station is 11 km away; a car makes it easier to travel between the villages and sights in the area.

In spring and autumn, temperatures are well suited to walks and visits to the villages. In summer, set off early to walk the trails or explore the area before the hottest part of the day. The roads on Mont Ventoux attract cyclists, while the valleys and forests offer quieter routes. A day could combine a visit to Venasque, an excursion to Sénanque and a detour through the Luberon's stone villages. Local markets and Provençal produce make a welcome addition to a day of sightseeing.
