Chambres d'Hôtes Istrane offers three rooms for two guests: a Double Room, a Twin Room and a Double Room with Balcony. All have a private bathroom, balcony and terrace with a garden view. The first two measure 20 m², while the third is 22 m².

The rooms have a wardrobe, bed linen and tiled flooring. Each private bathroom includes a shower or bath, toilet, hairdryer and free toiletries. A dining table and outdoor furniture are also provided. The choice of room mainly comes down to the bed configuration: one double bed in each of the double rooms, or two single beds in the twin room. The third room, a double, offers a little more space while retaining its garden view and access to a terrace.

Rustrel is a village in Vaucluse, in the hilly landscape of the Luberon, characterised by red earth and former ochre quarries. The village houses sit amid a rural setting of hills, hamlets and walking trails. This part of Provence appeals to travellers who enjoy walking, discovering mineral landscapes and exploring small villages rather than large resorts.

The Colorado Provençal, 1.3 km away, features cliffs and ochre formations in changing shades, with marked trails through the quarries. Les Cheminées des Fées are 1.5 km away and offer another viewpoint over these colourful hills. Rustrel, 940 m away, is a chance to see the church and enjoy the peaceful village setting. For an outing focused on local history, Fort de Buoux is 13 km away; its remains overlook the gorges and surrounding trails. Marseille Provence Airport is 97 km away.

Spring and autumn are pleasant times to explore the trails, when temperatures are suitable for walking. In summer, plan to set off early to enjoy the ochre landscapes before the hottest part of the day, and take water with you. You could combine a walk in the Colorado Provençal with a visit to the villages of the Luberon. In late June and July, lavender fields add colour to several parts of Provence, although flowering depends on the conditions that season.
