Château Sainte BARBE

The six rooms can accommodate two people and have a private bathroom and air conditioning. Four overlook the garden. They measure 23 or 26 m², while the two 22 m² rooms complete the range. The 23 m² rooms have a double bed; the 26 m² rooms have a large double bed. At 22 m², one has a double bed and the other a large double bed.

One of the two 22 m² rooms has a kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave, useful for storing or preparing a few items of food. The rooms have a shower; several also have a hairdryer and an electric kettle. Parquet flooring, a desk and heating complete the facilities in some rooms. Four rooms overlook the garden, while the kitchenette sets one of the two 22 m² rooms apart.

The outdoor pool and garden provide places to relax at Château Sainte BARBE. A terrace extends the rooms outdoors, while sun loungers let you settle in the sun. Guests can also use the tennis court. The rooms are air-conditioned and non-smoking; some are accessible by stairs only. Heating and parquet flooring are among the general facilities.

Free private parking is available on site. Continental breakfast is served at the bed and breakfast, where a kettle tray is provided in all accommodation. Check-in and check-out are private, and keys provide access to the rooms. Bathrooms include a shower, toilet and towels, among other facilities. Pets are allowed on request, possibly for an additional charge. The property does not have an internet connection.

Loriol-du-Comtat is part of the Comtat Venaissin, a Provençal plain of orchards, vineyards and villages, north of Carpentras. The surrounding countryside alternates between cultivated land and views towards the hills of Vaucluse. Life here follows the pace of a rural village: come to explore the markets, visit nearby villages and plan excursions, then return to the calm of the Provençal landscape at the end of the day.

Aubignan is 1.8 km away; its centre and market offer a glimpse of local life. In Carpentras, Saint-Siffrein Cathedral and the Musée Sobirats provide an insight into the city’s heritage. Carpentras centre is 3.7 km away, and its railway station is 4.2 km away. Further north, Mont Ventoux dominates the walking routes and roads popular with cyclists. A car makes it easier to travel between the villages and sights in the region. Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is 59 km away.

Spring and autumn are good times for walks in the villages and visits to Carpentras, when temperatures are milder. In summer, sunny days are suited to morning excursions, followed by a break by the pool during the hottest hours. From late June through July, you can look for lavender fields in parts of Vaucluse where it is grown; the grape harvest in September and October then brings a seasonal rhythm to the vineyards. A market in a nearby village and a walk through Carpentras’s old town make for a relaxed day, while the paths of Mont Ventoux invite you to plan a more active outing.
