Chez Marydidou : Chambres d'hôtes

Chez Marydidou offers two rooms with distinct layouts. The 12 m² Double Room sleeps two and overlooks an inner courtyard. The 20 m² Quadruple Room sleeps up to four and has a private entrance, a garden view and a kitchenette. Both options include a private bathroom, air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. The Double Room features parquet flooring and a walk-in shower, while the family room has a dining area and facilities for preparing simple meals.

The kitchenette in the Quadruple Room includes a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee machine. A high chair is also available in this room. Its sleeping arrangements combine one large double bed and two single beds; the Double Room has one large double bed. The two rooms therefore differ in capacity, views and amenities, while both retain air conditioning and a private bathroom.

Chez Marydidou has a garden, a sun terrace and outdoor furniture for enjoying the open spaces. A picnic area and an outdoor dining area let you eat outside, while the barbecue and its facilities add to the garden amenities. Outdoor play equipment is provided for children, and board games are also available. There is a coffee shop on site.

The rooms have air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. Bed linen is provided; towels and bed linen may also be available for an additional charge. Kitchen facilities include a fridge and, in the Quadruple Room, a kitchenette with a coffee machine, kettle and microwave. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Private parking is free, and accessible parking spaces are available. Pets are allowed free of charge.

Istres is in Bouches-du-Rhône, between the Étang de Berre and the Crau plain. This Provençal town combines residential neighbourhoods, green spaces and historic heritage. The surrounding landscape ranges from the shores of the étang to the drier terrain of the Crau; it suits travellers who want to alternate town visits, walks and explorations of Provençal scenery. Istres town centre is a place to wander the streets and visit the local parks.

Saint-Paul Church is 510 m from the house. A few kilometres away, the village of Miramas-le-Vieux stands on a hill above the Étang de Berre; its narrow streets and viewpoints make it a pleasant stop for a walk. Miramas Golf Club is 6.3 km away. Miramas railway station, 5 km away, provides regional train services, while Marseille-Provence Airport is 26 km away. A car makes it easier to explore the surrounding towns and the shores of the étang.

For a day in Istres, you can start in the town centre and its parks, then continue towards the Étang de Berre. Walks and outdoor visits are particularly pleasant in spring and autumn, when temperatures are milder.
