Domaine de Carraire

Le Domaine de Carraire has seven studios, each designed for two people and equipped with a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, a coffee machine and a terrace. They range in size from 20 to 42 m². The studios open onto the garden or pool and have an outdoor space where you can enjoy the guest house’s surroundings. Depending on the studio, you will find a kitchenette or an equipped kitchen, as well as a refrigerator and kitchenware. Some also have a microwave.

Most of the studios overlook the garden; two also offer a pool view. The 20 m² studio has a kitchenette, while the other six have an equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and kitchenware. Some also include a microwave. Each studio accommodates two people and has a large double bed. The terraces extend the indoor space and offer views of the garden or pool, depending on the studio.

The historic centre is home to Saint-Sauveur Cathedral, Musée Granet and Atelier Cézanne, dedicated to the painter who worked in the region. Terrain des Peintres offers a viewpoint associated with the landscapes of Montagne Sainte-Victoire. For rail travel, Aix-en-Provence station is 6 km away and the TGV station is 13 km away; Marseille-Provence Airport is 32 km away. A car makes it easier to travel between the guest house, the centre and sites around the city.

Spring and autumn are well suited to city walks and museum visits, with temperatures often milder than in the height of summer. On hot days, you can alternate a morning visit to the centre with a break by the pool or in the garden. A day might begin in the old streets and at the market, continue at Musée Granet, then end with an outing to the landscapes painted by Cézanne. In summer, the evenings are still pleasant for walks around the squares and shaded boulevards.
