Embarben Maison d'hôtes

The rooms and suites at Embarben Maison d'hôtes come in four categories, from the Economy Double Room to the Suite with Garden View. All have a private bathroom, air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. They range in size from 15 to 45 m². Two rooms open onto a balcony overlooking the garden and swimming pool; the Economy category has a terrace. Bathrooms have either a shower or a bath, depending on the room. The bed arrangements also vary: some categories include a large double bed and a single bed, while the others have a double bed and a single bed.

The Suite with Garden View is the largest and has two bedrooms, as well as access to the executive lounge. The Junior Suite has a seating area, with a fan in addition to air conditioning. Walkers appreciate this stop away from the major urban centres, yet still within reach of the towns and villages of western Provence.

The Ancienne Poudrerie Royale de Saint-Chamas and Parc de la Poudrerie invite you to explore a vast natural site linked to the history of gunpowder and industry. The well-preserved Roman Pont Flavien is another remarkable landmark in the area. In Miramas-le-Vieux, the lanes of the hilltop village and views over the Étang make for a pleasant outing. Saint-Chamas railway station is 600 m away; Miramas railway station, with more regional connections, is 4.2 km away. Marseille-Provence Airport is 17 km away.

Spring and autumn are good seasons for walks around the Étang, when temperatures are milder. In summer, beaches and water sports feature more prominently in your plans; it is best to visit historic sites during the cooler parts of the day. You can spend a day exploring the town centre, visiting Pont Flavien and stopping by the water. A car makes it easier to visit other Provençal villages and the landscapes of Bouches-du-Rhône, while the local railway station offers an alternative for regional travel.
