Escondida

Escondida has six units for two guests, all with air conditioning, a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. They range in size from 25 to 40 m². Depending on the room, views are of the garden, pool, mountains, sea or an inner courtyard. Several rooms have a terrace; some also have a balcony.

The 40 m² suite has a balcony with a sea view and a very large double bed. One 30 m² room also has a balcony, while the others measure 25 m². One bathroom has a spa bath; the others have a shower or a bathtub. The rooms are soundproofed and include a minibar.

The outdoor areas include an outdoor pool, a garden and several terraces, including a sun terrace. Sun loungers, parasols and pool or beach towels are provided for relaxing by the water. The pool is heated, infinity-style and saltwater. A hot tub and an open-air bath add to the relaxation facilities.

The bar and snack bar provide places to take a break on site, while a buffet breakfast is served each morning. The rooms have tea and coffee-making facilities, a kettle or coffee machine, and a minibar. Free private parking is available on site and includes an electric vehicle charging point. Housekeeping is provided daily and concierge services are available. Facilities also include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, air conditioning, a safe and outdoor play equipment for children. There are also table tennis tables.

Nice lies between the Mediterranean and the hills bordering the hinterland. Escondida is in the Bellet area, a landscape of hillsides and wine estates that contrasts with the city centre’s avenues and seafront. This property suits travellers who appreciate open views and breaks in the garden, while wanting to reach the city’s lively districts by car. The pace is more residential than on the Promenade des Anglais, and the terrain is a reminder that Nice is more than just its coastline.

Château de Bellet is 450 m away; the estate is known for its vineyards and wines, which you can discover on a visit. Château de Crémat, another wine estate in Nice, is 2.4 km away. Heading down towards the city, Musée Matisse displays the artist’s works in the Cimiez district, while Vieux-Nice is known for its narrow lanes, colourful façades and the Cours Saleya market. The beaches of the Baie des Anges are about 6 km away. Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport is 8 km away; a vehicle makes it easier to travel between the hills and the seafront.

In spring, mild temperatures are well suited to exploring the city centre on foot and walking on Castle Hill. In summer, mornings are a good time for trips into the city or to hilltop villages, before taking a break by the pool during the hottest hours. Early autumn is still pleasant for exploring the Bellet estates and returning to the coast at the end of the day. Nice is also worth visiting out of season, when museums, markets and old districts remain appealing without the summer crowds.
