Gîte Ancolie Bleue

Gîte Ancolie Bleue offers several options for solo travellers, couples and small groups. The accommodation includes a single bed in a dormitory, two double rooms and a quadruple room. Rooms range from 9 to 25 m², with capacities suited to each room. Some double rooms have a private bathroom and overlook the garden; the quadruple room has a mountain view and is on the ground floor.

Facilities vary between rooms. You’ll find parquet flooring, heating, a hairdryer and a clothes drying rack. Some rooms also have a washing machine and tumble dryer. The dormitory room overlooks the mountains, while the double rooms have garden views. Beds include double beds, single beds or bunk beds, depending on the layout. The upper floors are accessible by stairs only.

Gîte Ancolie Bleue brings together useful facilities for a mountain stay, in summer and winter. Skiers have ski-to-door access, a ski school and a place to store their equipment. Hiking, cycling and fishing are also among the activities on offer. A terrace and a sun terrace provide outdoor seating when the weather allows; sun loungers are also available.

Abriès is a mountain village in the Haut-Guil, in the Queyras Regional Natural Park. Its houses and Alpine landscapes make it a good setting for an active stay, with activities changing according to the season. Walkers can reach the local trails, while winter draws visitors to the slopes and snowy landscapes. The GR58, a hiking route that circles the Queyras, passes through this region.

The village of Abriès and its narrow streets offer a chance to discover the local architecture and way of life. The Chapelle des Pénitents and Saint-Pierre Church are heritage stops along a walk. In winter, the ski lifts and Abriès ski resort provide access to snow sports; the area also has cross-country skiing routes. Tête du Pelvas towers over the surrounding landscapes and attracts experienced hikers. Ristolas, another village in the valley, offers a chance to explore more of the Haut-Guil.

In summer, bring suitable footwear to explore the Queyras paths on foot or by bike, and set aside time for mountain panoramas. Autumn and spring give walks a different feel, with conditions varying according to altitude. In winter, days revolve around skiing and snow activities. A car makes it easier to travel between the villages and the various trailheads in the valley.
