Hotel Du Lac

Hotel Du Lac offers three room categories: a Twin Room, a Double Room and a Triple Room. All are air-conditioned and have a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV and views of the garden or mountains. Some rooms also overlook the town. Room sizes range from 18 to 24 m², depending on the category.

The Twin Room, for two people, is the most compact. The Double Room and Triple Room are both 24 m²; the latter sleeps three, with one single bed and one double bed. The Double Room stands out for its coffee machine, bathrobes and slippers. Bathrooms have a shower or a bath and a hairdryer. A desk, wardrobe and free toiletries complete the room facilities.

The neighbouring town of Volonne offers more to discover among the villages of the valley, while the riverbanks and paths nearby invite you to walk and cycle.

The citadel of Sisteron, 12 km away, overlooks the town and offers a striking glimpse of its defensive history. In Volonne, the aqueduct and remains of the Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens priory bear witness to the area’s past. The Théâtre Durance hosts a cultural programme a few kilometres away. Château-Arnoux-Saint-Auban railway station is 4.5 km away; the A51 motorway, about 3 km away, makes it easier to travel around the region by car. A car is useful for reaching the villages and scattered sights of the valley.

Plan outings according to the season: hiking and cycling in mild weather, or kayaking when conditions allow. In summer, it is best to plan outdoor activities for the cooler parts of the day and leave time for a visit to Sisteron. Spring and early autumn are also good times to explore the area on foot. For a varied day out, combine a visit to Volonne’s heritage sites with a walk through the landscapes of the Durance, then finish with a cultural visit to the Théâtre Durance.
