Further towards the centre, the Musée des explorations du monde is housed in the former château on the heights of Le Suquet; its collections explore art and travel. The ferry terminal, Vieux-Port and the narrow streets of Le Suquet are all reached in the direction of the centre. Cannes railway station is 1.6 km away; Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is 17 km away. You can explore the district on foot, and cycling lets you follow the seafront.

For a day without a car, you can start with a swim, walk along the Croisette, then head to Le Suquet to visit the museum and enjoy views over the bay. In summer, the beaches are very busy and the sun is strong; plan your time by the sea for the morning or late afternoon. Spring and early autumn are pleasant times to walk and explore Cannes at a more leisurely pace. The Lérins Islands also make a good boat trip from the port, with walking trails and Mediterranean scenery.
