Hotel Le Chardonnay

Hotel Le Chardonnay offers three types of accommodation for one to three people. The Standard Apartment and One-Bedroom Apartment suit solo travellers or couples, while the Triple Room with Shower can accommodate three people. All units are air-conditioned and have a private bathroom. The Standard Apartment measures 9 m², the One-Bedroom Apartment 20 m² and the triple room 35 m².

The amenities vary from one unit to another. The One-Bedroom Apartment has a seating area and a coffee machine. The triple room overlooks the Rhône and has three single beds. The Standard Apartment offers a city view and a flat-screen TV. The upper floors are accessible only by stairs. These units therefore combine a compact option for one person, an apartment with a seating area and a triple room with a river view.

The shared areas offer several places to take a break during the day. The on-site café and snack bar serve drinks and light meals, while the bar adds to the choice. Breakfast is served on the terrace, where outdoor furniture lets you sit outside. The sunny terrace is also a place to relax after a walk around Avignon.

Guests can use a fitness room, and water sports facilities are available on site. The hotel also has a shared lounge with a TV, as well as meeting and reception rooms for events. Daily housekeeping, laundry facilities and a safety deposit box are among the available amenities. Reception is open from 13:00 to 19:00; check-in is from 14:00 to 19:00. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. Public parking is available nearby, cannot be reserved and may incur an additional charge. The upper floors are accessible only by stairs.

Avignon unfolds amid pale stone, between the banks of the Rhône and the ramparts enclosing its old town. Narrow lanes, shaded squares and historic façades shape a lively city marked by its papal past. Visitors come to explore its heritage on foot, visit museums and enjoy the terraces when the Provençal heat sets in. The riverbanks offer another side of the city, opening out onto the landscapes of the Rhône.

Pont Saint-Bénézet, known as the Pont d’Avignon, is 350 m away; its history and silhouette over the river make it one of the city’s main landmarks. The Palace of the Popes, 400 m away, bears witness to the time when Avignon was the seat of the papacy. Rocher des Doms, 200 m away, is an elevated garden appreciated for its paths and views over the Rhône. Petit Palais Museum houses collections that include medieval and Renaissance paintings. Avignon-Centre railway station is 1.3 km away; the TGV station is further out, beyond the historic centre.

A day of sightseeing can start at the Palace of the Popes, continue through the streets of the centre and end by the river. In spring and autumn, temperatures are often suitable for walks and outdoor visits. In summer, Avignon hosts its famous theatre festival and the city becomes particularly lively; it is then pleasant to alternate morning visits with a break in the shade. The surrounding area also offers the chance to discover Provençal landscapes and the villages of Vaucluse on a drive.
