La Bastide du Mûrier

The accommodation comprises two 19 m² double rooms, two suites of 26 and 33 m², and a 120 m² four-bedroom holiday home. The double rooms have a terrace overlooking the pool, air conditioning and a private bathroom. They sleep two people. The first is named “King Room with Pool View” and the second “Standard King Room”.

The suites also have a terrace and a private bathroom. The 26 m² suite overlooks the garden and includes a sauna; the 33 m² suite also has a kitchen and a sofa bed, and sleeps three. The holiday home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a kitchen with a dishwasher. At 120 m², it sleeps eight and offers a separate layout for group stays.

La Bastide du Mûrier provides free private parking on site and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. The rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a terrace; a garden and outdoor furniture extend the spaces for relaxing. The hot tub, spa and massages add to the wellness facilities.

There is a café on site, and the accommodation includes a tea or coffee maker. Cotignac is a village in the Var, in Provence Verte, surrounded by hills, vineyards and Mediterranean landscapes. Its houses cluster at the foot of a tufa cliff, whose cavities and cave dwellings create a distinctive setting. The lanes, small squares and old façades are best explored on foot; the surrounding countryside is well suited to walks and drives between Provençal villages.

The village of Cotignac is 2.1 km from the bastide. Le Rocher de Tuf, 2.3 km away, offers a chance to explore the cavities carved into the cliff, while Sillans Waterfall makes for a nature outing in the area. Thoronet Abbey, 9 km away, is a remarkable example of Cistercian architecture, with a simple church and a cloister to visit. The local wine estates offer another way to explore this part of the Var. A car makes it easier to travel between these sights and the neighbouring villages; Brignoles railway station is 14 km away.

Summer days are hot and sunny, ideal for swimming and taking a break in the shade, though popular sites can be busy. Spring and early autumn are pleasant times to walk in the hills and visit the villages in milder temperatures. You can spend a day exploring Cotignac and its lanes, then plan an outing to the abbey or waterfalls. The village market and squares also offer a chance to experience the local pace of life and Provençal produce.
