La Bastide Tara

La Bastide Tara offers four room categories, ranging from 20 to 30 m², for two to four people. Each room has a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. The Comfort Double Room and Superior Double Room also include a sofa and an electric kettle; their bed configurations differ, and the latter can accommodate up to four people.

The largest room, the Family Suite, has a private terrace and an equipped kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and kitchenware. A coffee machine and kettle complete this space, which is convenient for preparing drinks and a few meals. The Double or Twin Room with Pool View stands out for its views of the garden and pool. It measures 20 m² and accommodates two people. The rooms also include a hairdryer and free toiletries.

La Bastide Tara has an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and several spaces for enjoying the outdoors: a terrace, a sun terrace, outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area. Sun loungers and parasols are also provided. Private parking is free, and the free Wi-Fi supports streaming and video calls on several devices. Continental breakfast is served on site.

Activities available include hiking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing and snorkelling. Golf, mini golf, bowling and a water park are also among the leisure activities offered in the region. Indoors, the rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle and a fan; the Family Suite has a kitchenette. Luggage storage is available. Valet parking is offered, with no prior reservation required.

Cabriès is a Provençal village in Bouches-du-Rhône, between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. Its old town is clustered around the château, amid a landscape of hills, pine forests and bastides. The atmosphere is that of a village away from the major urban centres, while still within their reach for visits. A car makes it easier to travel between the village, nearby cities and natural areas; the surroundings are also suited to days spent walking, playing golf or visiting cultural sites.

Château de Cabriès and the Edgar Mélik Museum offer a chance to discover local heritage and the works of the painter, 1.6 km away. Golf de la Cabre d’Or is 1.1 km away, while Parc d’Albertas, with its tree-lined paths and gardens, is 3.4 km away. Aix-en-Provence TGV station is 3.8 km away. Marseille-Provence Airport is 11 km away; La Bastide Tara also has free private parking. Aix-en-Provence provides access to its old streets, Musée Granet and Cézanne’s studio, while Marseille offers the Vieux-Port and the collections of the History Museum.

Spring and autumn are good seasons for walks through the villages and visits to gardens, with temperatures generally pleasant for exploring the region. In summer, the pool offers a chance to take a break between outings; it is best to plan trips for the cooler parts of the day. For a cultural day out, you can combine Cabriès with Aix-en-Provence and set aside another excursion for Marseille. Provençal markets and village squares also offer a chance to discover seasonal produce and the local pace of life.
