La Cigale

La Cigale offers three accommodation categories: a Double Room, a Family Room with Garden View and a Family Room. All have a private bathroom, a kitchen or kitchenette and a coffee machine. The Double Room, for two people, offers city views. The Family Room with Garden View also has a garden view and can accommodate three people. The Family Room, the largest of the three, can accommodate up to seven people and has a balcony, a terrace, and views of the mountains and village.

The kitchen areas include equipment for preparing meals, including a hob, a refrigerator, an oven or microwave depending on the room, and a kettle. Sleeping arrangements range from a double bed to several beds and a sofa bed. This variety lets you choose between a room for two and larger family accommodation.

La Cigale offers free public on-street parking near the guest house. Pets are allowed on request; an additional charge may apply. There is a café on site, and the rooms have a coffee machine or a kettle. The kitchen areas allow you to prepare meals, with a kettle and cooking equipment available depending on the room.

Families can choose a family room, and pushchairs are available. Board games, puzzles, and books or music for children are among the facilities on offer. You can also enjoy hiking and walking in the surrounding area. An iron is available. The upper floors are accessible by stairs only, which is worth bearing in mind if you have difficulty using them.

Annot is an Alpine village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, surrounded by wooded hills and sandstone landscapes. Its old houses and narrow streets give it the feel of a mountain town, while the trails in the surrounding area attract hikers. The village suits travellers who enjoy alternating walks through the streets with outings in nature, away from large urban centres.

Le Baou d’Annot, a group of rock formations reached by hiking trails, is 600 m away. In the village, Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste is 100 m away. Chambre du Roi cave, another natural attraction in the area, is 1.4 km away; it lies in a landscape shaped by sandstone. Annot railway station, 550 m away, makes it easy to get around without a car. Further afield, Pont de la Reine Jeanne, a historic bridge over the Var, is 5.5 km away.

The warmer months are a good time to explore the trails and enjoy the hills around the village; spring and autumn often bring temperatures better suited to long walks. Wear sturdy shoes for rocky routes, and allow time to explore Annot's narrow streets between outings. The surrounding area is also suited to trips to neighbouring villages and the landscapes of the Verdon.
