La Cigale et la Fourmi

La Cigale et la Fourmi offers two 27 m² Double Rooms, each designed for two people and fitted with a large double bed. Both have a private bathroom with a shower, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a terrace. Each room also has a private kitchen with a refrigerator, hob, microwave, toaster, utensils and kettle. A coffee machine and dining area complete the facilities.

Both rooms offer views of the garden and mountains. The Double Room highlights both panoramas, while the Double Room with Garden View focuses on the outlook over the green spaces. The terraces have outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area, extending the space available to you. The two rooms have a similar layout, with independent access and facilities suited to a couple’s stay in the Les Taillades area.

It suits travellers who want to explore the villages of the Luberon by car and return to a quiet setting after their visits.

The waterwheel, 650 m away, recalls the history of water and local activities. Château des Taillades and Saint-Trophime Church are in the village. Cavaillon, 3 km away, has an old town and Saint-Véran Cathedral; its railway station connects the commune to the regional rail network. Further afield, Gordes and its château overlook the Luberon landscapes, while Sénanque Abbey is known for its Cistercian architecture and lavender fields. A car makes it easier to travel between these villages and natural sites.

Spring and autumn are pleasant times to explore the country roads and visit the villages without the busy summer crowds. In summer, Provençal markets and long days lend themselves to morning outings before the hottest part of the day. Lavender blooms across parts of the Luberon towards the end of June and in July. A day could combine a walk through the narrow streets of Gordes with a visit to Sénanque, followed by a stop in Cavaillon on the way back.
