Cassis is a port town in Bouches-du-Rhône, between the cliffs of Cap Canaille and the rugged landscape of Calanques National Park. The old port, lined with colourful façades, sets the scene for a destination focused on the sea and boat trips. The narrow streets of the centre lead to pebble beaches and coves; the scenery is suited to both walks and days swimming. Corton Beach is 800 m from the villa.

Grande Mer Beach, below the village, offers swimming with views of the port and château. Port-Miou Cove, 3.2 km away, marks the start of a coastal route popular with walkers; its waters shelter a long natural harbour between the cliffs. Further on, the trails in the national park lead to Port-Pin and En-Vau coves, whose turquoise waters and limestone cliffs define the landscape. Cassis centre is easy to explore on foot, while the railway station, about 2 km away, connects the town to the regional rail network. A car makes it easier to explore the coast and surrounding area.

In summer, the beaches and port are busy; an early outing lets you enjoy the trails and coast before the busiest hours. Spring and September often bring pleasant conditions for walking in the Calanques and exploring the village. For a day by the water, you can combine swimming with a stroll through the centre and a visit to the port. The limestone terrain makes some walks challenging, so suitable shoes and water are useful for the trails.
