La Dryade

The rooms at La Dryade are designed for two people and each measure 20 m². They include a private bathroom with a shower, free toiletries, a hairdryer and a bathrobe. Air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a safe and a private entrance are also among the shared amenities. Each room has a south-facing private terrace with views of the pool, forest and garden.

The Double Room is furnished with a large double bed. The Twin Room offers either two single beds and a sofa bed, or a sofa bed and a large double bed. Both room types share the same level of comfort and the same views; it is mainly the bed layout that distinguishes them. The Double Room also has a sofa, while the second room has outdoor furniture. The terraces extend the indoor space and let you enjoy the green surroundings.

The outdoor areas include a garden, a sun terrace, outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area. A picnic area and barbecue facilities let you enjoy the setting at different times of day. If you enjoy activities, you can choose from walking tours, hiking, cycling, horse riding and tennis; tennis equipment is also available. Sun loungers and parasols complete the outdoor facilities.

For meals, La Dryade offers an on-site café, fruit, wine and champagne, as well as a snack bar. Children's menus and menus for special diets are available on request. Facilities also include a flat-screen TV, a CD player and a DVD player. Families will find board games, puzzles, books, DVDs and music for children. Luggage storage and pet bowls are among the other amenities.

Tourves is a village in the Var, in Provence Verte, set among hills, pine forests and limestone terrain. Its centre retains the feel of a Provençal village, while the surrounding area alternates between wooded land, vineyards and hiking trails. The village suits travellers who enjoy nature walks and discovering local heritage at a leisurely pace. Summer days are hot; spring and autumn often bring pleasant conditions for walking.

The Caramy Gorges are one of the area's notable excursions, with scenery shaped by the river and walking routes. The Musée des Gueules Rouges in Tourves tells the story of bauxite mining, which had a profound impact on the region. In Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, the Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine is a major example of Provençal Gothic architecture. The nearest railway station mentioned in the surrounding area is in Brignoles, 13 km away; Toulon-Hyères Airport is 39 km away.

For a day without long journeys, you can visit the museum in the morning, then follow a trail around the Caramy Gorges and finish with a meal in the village. Visitors interested in heritage can continue to La Celle Abbey or Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume. In summer, it is best to walk early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when temperatures are milder. In spring and September, the trails and Provençal scenery are particularly well suited to exploring on foot or by bike.
