Flassans-sur-Issole is a village in central Var, in the Provençal hinterland, among hills, small towns and wine estates. The pace is that of a rural village rather than a seaside resort: visitors come to enjoy the scenery, walks and excursions by car. Nearby villages such as Cabasse and Besse-sur-Issole offer a chance to discover inland Provence, away from the main coastal routes.

Château des Pontevès, 2.2 km away, recalls the area's history. Golf de Barbaroux, 3.6 km away, offers a course in a wooded setting, while Aoubré park, 3.8 km away, is a place to enjoy the outdoors. Commanderie de Peyrassol, a wine estate 5.2 km away, combines vineyards with a chance to discover Provençal heritage. Further afield, Abbaye du Thoronet is a remarkable example of Cistercian architecture. Sainte-Anastasie station is 7 km away; a car makes it easier to travel between the villages and places of interest in the region.

Sunny days are ideal for hiking and taking breaks by the pool, while autumn brings soft light to the landscapes of Var and its wine estates. In summer, it is best to plan outdoor activities for the morning or late afternoon. An outing could combine a visit to a nearby village, a stop at the Peyrassol estate and a return to the villa to enjoy the terrace. For a more cultural day out, Abbaye du Thoronet is a memorable discovery in the Provençal hinterland.
