La Gourmandine

La Gourmandine offers four accommodations for two people: three double or twin rooms and a studio with a terrace. All the rooms have a private bathroom, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a terrace. Several rooms include a coffee machine, and garden views are available across the different categories.

The accommodations vary in size: the first room is 15 m², while the other two rooms are 25 and 30 m². The 25 m² room also overlooks the pool. The 30 m² room has a large double bed and a single bed, as well as a fireplace. The 35 m² studio has a terrace overlooking the garden. The rooms therefore offer different layouts and views, with private outdoor space to enjoy the surroundings.

La Gourmandine offers free private parking on site and free Wi-Fi in the rooms. The accommodations have air conditioning and a private bathroom; amenities such as a flat-screen TV, kettle and refrigerator make your stay more convenient. Pets are allowed on request, and a supplement may apply.

The garden and sun terrace make up the property’s outdoor spaces. A picnic area, outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area let you enjoy the garden at different times of day. The rooms have garden views, and several have their own terrace. The property also offers a concierge service, private check-in and check-out, and laundry facilities. A teapot or coffee machine is available in the relevant areas for drinks.

Saint-Andiol is a village in Bouches-du-Rhône, in the Provençal agricultural plain between Cavaillon and Avignon. Orchards, fields and small towns give this part of Provence a rural character, distinct from that of the nearby urban centres. The area suits travellers who want to alternate heritage visits, markets and walks through the region’s landscapes, with car journeys needed to explore the surroundings.

In the village, Saint-Vincent Church and the Jean Moulin Museum “Souvenir de mon pays” offer a glimpse of local landmarks; both are less than a kilometre from La Gourmandine. Cavaillon, 8 km away, has a railway station and serves as a gateway to nearby towns. Avignon, 16 km away, is known for the Palace of the Popes, a vast Gothic monument linked to the history of the papacy in the 14th century. The Chartreuse de Bonpas, a former monastery in the region, offers another heritage stop. Nearby villages, including Cabannes and Mollégès, add to the options for walks across the plain.

In spring, blossoming orchards make the rural roads a pleasure to explore; in summer, it is best to plan visits for the morning or late afternoon. You can spend a day in Avignon visiting the Palace of the Popes and its old streets, or take a more leisurely day to discover the villages and agricultural landscapes around Saint-Andiol. Autumn is also a pleasant season for walks and local discoveries.
