La Maison du Chapelier

La Maison du Chapelier is rented as a whole: this 150 m² villa accommodates up to six people and has three bedrooms. Each has a double bed, making it suitable for a stay with family or friends. The living areas include a lounge and an equipped kitchen with, among other things, a fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave and coffee machine. The bathroom has a shower and a bath. Air conditioning, a washing machine and a flat-screen TV with streaming services complete the indoor facilities.

A balcony and terrace extend the living spaces out towards the garden, with views of the mountains and surrounding area. Bed linen and towels are provided. The villa also has a high chair, which is useful for meals with a young child. As the entire house is rented, the bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and outdoor areas are all part of the same self-contained accommodation.

The narrow streets, riverside paths and small museums give a visit a relaxed pace, appealing to travellers who enjoy combining heritage, scenery and walks. La Maison du Chapelier is in the commune, away from major urban roads.

The Musée-Bibliothèque François Pétrarque and Moulin à Papier offer an insight into the village’s literary and craft history. Jardin Pétrarque is a pleasant place for a walk near the river, while Château des Évêques de Cavaillon recalls the area’s medieval past. Further afield, Village des Bories and Gordes offer the chance to explore dry-stone architecture and the hilltop villages of the Luberon. Allow time to walk along the Sorgue and visit its source, whose flow varies with the seasons. The water is generally high in spring; in summer, the riverbanks and narrow streets attract more visitors. You can combine a visit to the village with an excursion to Gordes or Sénanque Abbey, followed by a stop amid the scenery of the Luberon. A car makes it easier to travel between the villages and rural sights, while Fontaine-de-Vaucluse itself is easy to explore on foot.
