La Paille

The rooms at La Paille include family and double accommodation, a quadruple room and several individual beds in dormitories. The Family Room with Private Bathroom has a dining area, mountain views and three beds. The Double Room with Shared Bathroom opens onto a balcony facing the peaks. The Economy Quadruple Room has a terrace and a private bathroom. These rooms are suitable for families, couples and solo travellers.

The family and quadruple rooms have private bathrooms, while the double room shares its bathroom. A fridge, dining table and heating are provided in all three rooms. Some have mountain views, and the dining areas offer a table to sit around. Single beds are available individually in either a four-bed dormitory or a mixed dormitory. The shared kitchen completes La Paille’s communal spaces.

La Paille has a garden with outdoor furniture, a terrace and a picnic area. Guests can also use the barbecue facilities to prepare a meal outside when the weather allows. Indoors, a shared lounge provides a place to relax and watch television, while the shared kitchen lets you prepare your own meals. Board games and puzzles complete the communal spaces.

Free private parking is available on site. Breakfast is offered and is one of the services guests appreciate. The property also has lockers, a smoking area and heating. The outdoor areas, including the terrace and garden, offer several places to get some fresh air or sit down for a meal. Pets are allowed on request, at no extra charge. Internet access is not available at the property.

Local life follows the seasons: visitors come for snow activities in winter and walks at altitude in fine weather. La Paille is in the La Douonne area, in surroundings where the mountains shape both outings and views.

The Pelvoux-Vallouise ski resort is 1.6 km away and offers mountain activities in season. Vallouise, 2.1 km away, is a village in the valley where you can stroll among the houses and discover the atmosphere of Alpine villages. The Maison du Parc des Écrins de Vallouise, 2.9 km away, introduces visitors to the protected area and its natural environments. The Cascade de la Pisette, 3.3 km away, is a possible destination for a walk nearby. L'Argentière-les-Écrins railway station is 9 km away; a car makes it easier to travel between the villages and hiking trailheads.
