La Souloise

La Souloise offers three room categories: a Double Room, a Family Room and a Twin Room. All have a private bathroom with a shower and views of the Dévoluy mountains. Each room includes an equipped kitchen, a dishwasher, a flat-screen TV and a coffee machine. Room sizes range from 14 to 20 m², and capacity varies by category.

The Family Room is the largest and accommodates up to four people with a double bed and bunk beds. The other two rooms each sleep two: one has a double bed, while the other has two single beds. A high chair is also available in the rooms. Dining areas, a fridge and cooking facilities let you prepare meals on site. The rooms were renovated in December 2020 and feature parquet flooring, private bathrooms and views of the mountain landscape.

La Souloise has a terrace, outdoor furniture and a picnic area where you can enjoy the Alpine surroundings. Guests also have access to a shared kitchen and dining area. A café, snack bar and bar complement the dining options; a sweet breakfast is served every morning, with continental or à la carte choices. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, and public parking on site is free.

A ski storage room caters for winter stays, while hiking, cycling and walking are among the activities on offer. The hotel also has a games room, board games and an indoor play area. Facilities for guests with reduced mobility include toilets with grab rails and an adapted low washbasin. The rooms are family-friendly and non-smoking. Pets are allowed on request, and a supplement may apply. Bike hire and packed lunches complete the available services.

Dévoluy is a mountain area in the Hautes-Alpes, with villages and hamlets set among peaks, alpine pastures and forests. Saint-Étienne-en-Dévoluy retains the scale of a village, with its church and houses scattered throughout the valley. The region attracts skiers in winter and those who prefer hiking, cycling or wide-open spaces in warmer weather. The terrain shapes how you get around and gives every outing an Alpine character.

Saint-Étienne Church is 110 m from the hotel, and the village of Saint-Étienne-en-Dévoluy is 150 m away. Superdévoluy, with its ski lifts and slopes, is 2 km away; the resort of La Joue du Loup is another option for winter sports. Écrins National Park, whose protected landscapes attract hikers, is 5 km away. Pic de Bure rises above the surrounding area and is a striking landmark in the mountain range. A car makes it easier to travel between the hamlets, trailheads and ski areas.

In winter, days revolve around the slopes and returning to the village, with ski storage available at the hotel. In summer, trails and mountain biking routes let you explore the terrain at a different pace; bring suitable footwear and check mountain conditions before setting out on a hike. Spring and autumn are suited to walks and quieter stays, although the weather can change quickly at altitude. For a short break, you can explore the village and its church, then spend a day enjoying Dévoluy’s mountain activities.
