La Villageoise

La Villageoise offers four double rooms for two guests. Three rooms are called Large Double Room and each measures 22 m², with a private bathroom with a shower and a flat-screen TV. They also have a dining area, a table, a refrigerator and an electric kettle. Other facilities include a wardrobe or clothes rack, bed linen and towels.

The Double Room with Terrace is more compact, at 20 m², and has distinctive features: air conditioning, a bath and a terrace overlooking the town. It also has a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. All four rooms have a large double bed. This layout suits couples who want to stay in the village, while the room with a terrace offers a private outdoor space where you can enjoy the view of Aups.

Each room at La Villageoise has a private bathroom, with a shower in the three Large Double Rooms and a bath in the Double Room with Terrace. Towels and bed linen are provided. The rooms have a wardrobe or clothes rack, a dining table and a dining area. The refrigerator and electric kettle let you keep drinks chilled and make a hot drink.

There is a flat-screen TV in the rooms, and internet access is available at the property. Wi-Fi is free throughout. The terrace of the room named after it overlooks the town; this room also has air conditioning. The rooms are non-smoking. The facilities provide what you need to relax, put away your belongings or have a meal in your room without leaving Aups. The rooms include a private bathroom, toilet, toilet paper and towels.

Aups is a village in the Haut-Var, surrounded by Provençal hills and landscapes that herald the Verdon Regional Natural Park. You can explore its centre on foot: lanes, small squares and old façades give the village a close-knit feel. The village is known for black truffles; the Maison de la truffe introduces you to their cultivation and uses. The market in Place Frédéric Mistral is also part of local life, while the Collegiate Church of Saint-Pancrace is one of the village’s heritage landmarks.

From La Villageoise, the Maison de la truffe is 130 m away and the Collegiate Church of Saint-Pancrace is 110 m away. Lake Sainte-Croix, 10 km away, is a place for swimming, canoeing and walks along the water. Further afield, the Verdon Gorges offer hiking routes and views over the canyon. A car is useful for exploring the villages and natural sites around Aups; La Môle-Saint-Tropez and Toulon-Hyères airports are 51 km and 58 km away respectively.

Spring and autumn are good seasons for walks in the hills and visits to the villages of the Haut-Var, with temperatures generally milder than in summer. In summer, plan a trip to the lake early in the day, then take a break in the centre of Aups during the hottest hours. Truffle season offers another taste of the local area, particularly in winter. For a varied day out, combine the village streets and heritage with an afternoon by the water or a hike in the Verdon.
