Le Bastidon de Guillemette

Le Bastidon de Guillemette is rented as a whole: the 50 m² house has two bedrooms, a living room and a private bathroom with a bath. It can accommodate up to six people, with one double bed, two single beds and a sofa bed in the living room. This layout lets a small group stay together while keeping two separate bedrooms.

The fully equipped kitchen lets you prepare meals on site and includes a dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave and coffee machine. The terrace overlooks the garden and complements the private pool, a notable feature of the house. A flat-screen TV, private entrance and washing machine complete the facilities. The bathroom has a bath, and toiletries and a hairdryer are provided.

Gordes is a stone-built village in the Luberon, clinging to the slopes and looking out over Provençal scenery. Its lanes wind uphill between houses with pale façades and small squares; the château overlooks the village, while views open out across the surrounding hills and fields. The setting appeals to travellers who enjoy exploring villages on foot, discovering local architecture and alternating sightseeing with quiet moments.

Gordes château and Saint-Firmin Church are in the village. The Caves du Palais Saint-Firmin, carved beneath the houses, offer another glimpse into local heritage. Outside the village, Sénanque Abbey is known for its Cistercian architecture and valley, while the Village des Bories is made up of dry-stone buildings. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue–Fontaine-de-Vaucluse railway station is 11 km away; a car is useful for reaching the scattered sights of the Luberon. Marseille-Provence Airport is 51 km away.

In fine weather, you can enjoy the paths, terraces and views, although the area is busier in summer. Spring and early autumn are well suited to walks through the villages and excursions into the scenery of the Luberon Regional Natural Park. You can start the day exploring Gordes’s lanes, continue to Sénanque or nearby hamlets, then end it by the pool. In July, lavender fields colour parts of Provence, depending on the location and seasonal conditions.
