Le Magnolia

The villa is a 150 m² self-contained accommodation for six people. It has two separate bedrooms, a living room and a private bathroom; both bedrooms are included in a single booking category. The layout is suited to a family or group of friends, with an equipped kitchen and dining area for sharing meals in the accommodation.

The terrace looks out over the garden and also offers views of the swimming pool and mountains. The villa has a balcony, air conditioning, a private entrance and a washing machine. The kitchen includes an oven, hob, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. A flat-screen TV with satellite channels is provided in the accommodation. Contes is a village in the Alpes-Maritimes, in the hinterland east of Nice. The houses and narrow streets of the village are set among hills and valleys, quite different from the seafront promenades. The area suits travellers who want to alternate trips into the city with visits to hinterland villages and time to relax in greener surroundings. Local roads connect the different hamlets and make it easy to explore the area by car.

In the village, Sainte-Marie-Madeleine Church and Saint-Joseph Church are landmarks for a walk. Châteauneuf-Villevieille and Berre-les-Alpes are other villages to discover in the hills. On the way to Nice, the Èze Exotic Garden brings together Mediterranean plants and offers sea views. In Nice, MAMAC showcases modern and contemporary art collections, while Garibaldi Square and Palais Lascaris are places to explore in the old town. Fontanil-Lycée de Drap stop and L’Escarène railway station serve the area; a car makes excursions between the villages and the coast easier.

For a varied day out, you can spend the morning exploring Contes's narrow streets, then head to Èze or Nice in the afternoon. In summer, you can combine sightseeing with visits to the coastal beaches, although days can be hot and the seaside busy. Spring and the shoulder season are pleasant times to explore the hills and villages, with often milder temperatures. Nice remains lively all year round, particularly for its museums, squares and city walks.
