The Ochre Trail winds through former quarries and showcases the landforms and colours that shaped local history; it is 2.6 km away. Roussillon village is 3 km away, as is its bell tower. The ôkhra museum, housed in a former ochre factory, offers insight into pigments and their extraction; it is 2.3 km away. Further afield, Gordes and the Village des Bories give a glimpse of the Luberon's dry-stone architecture. A car makes it easier to visit these villages and the region's natural sites.

Spring and autumn are good seasons for walks, with often milder temperatures for exploring the trails and villages. In summer, the light brings out the colours of the ochre, but exposed routes are better suited to morning or late-afternoon outings. You could start the day on the trail, continue through Roussillon's lanes, then finish in another Luberon village.
