Le Mazet du Domaine

Le Mazet du Domaine offers a 50 m² holiday home arranged around two bedrooms, for up to four people. The layout suits a family or two couples who want separate bedrooms while sharing the communal spaces. Each of the two bedrooms has a large double bed. The bathroom is private, and bed linen and towels are provided.

The equipped kitchen includes a fridge, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, utensils, kettle and coffee machine. The living room has a seating area and a flat-screen TV. It suits travellers who enjoy heritage, walks and country roads; a car makes trips beyond the village easier.

Gordes Castle overlooks the rooftops and houses exhibitions, while Saint-Firmin Church and the Caves du Palais Saint-Firmin offer a glimpse into local history. The Village des Bories, 1.4 km away, features dry-stone huts once used by local residents and farmers. Sénanque Abbey, 2.2 km away, is a Cistercian monument in a valley in the Luberon. The railway stations at L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Cavaillon serve the area; public transport does not reach the house, so a car is useful for exploring the surroundings.

In spring, the trails and villages of the mountain range are well suited to hikes and cycling trips. In summer, the days are hot and the pool offers a break after sightseeing; setting out early also lets you enjoy the lanes before the busiest hours. The Provençal markets in nearby villages are an opportunity to discover seasonal produce. You can spend a day visiting Gordes, exploring the Bories and stopping by the abbey, then return to the house to enjoy the garden and terrace. In September, the light remains soft and the Luberon roads are pleasant for visiting several villages throughout the day.
