Le Mont d'Olivine

Le Mont d'Olivine offers two 20 m² rooms, each designed for two people. The Twin Room with Mountain View has two single beds and overlooks the surrounding hills. The Double Room with Garden View has a double bed and overlooks the garden. You can choose between separate beds and a double bed.

Each room has a seating area and a flat-screen TV. The bathroom includes a shower and free toiletries; bed linen and towels are provided. A refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle and dining table complete the amenities. The rooms also have a private entrance and kitchenware. Their main difference is the view: the first overlooks the mountains, while the second overlooks the garden.

The outdoor swimming pool is open seasonally, and sun loungers let you relax by the water. On site, table tennis offers an activity to enjoy together, while the surrounding area is suitable for hiking. The guest house also has a private entrance and offers non-smoking rooms and hypoallergenic accommodation.

Free internet access is available in the rooms. Free public parking is available on site, with no reservation possible. Kitchen facilities include a microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, kitchenware and a dining table. Bed linen and towels are provided. Heating and air conditioning are also among the amenities. Utelle is in the hinterland of the Alpes-Maritimes, amid a landscape of valleys, wooded slopes and scattered hamlets. The village and its surroundings have a mountain atmosphere, quite different from the urban coast. Winding roads link small villages and viewpoints across the hills. This stop suits travellers who prefer walks, scenery and peaceful stays to outings in the city. Hiking is a good reason to explore the local trails, while the guest house’s swimming pool offers a break in warmer months.

Saint-Jean-la-Rivière and the chapels nearby offer a glimpse of local heritage in the hamlets. The Saut des Français viewpoint overlooks the valley scenery. The Serpatière Cave and Mescla Cave add natural attractions to local itineraries. Coaraze, another village in the hinterland around Nice, can be included in a drive. Nice makes for a more urban outing, with its museums, shopping streets and seafront; Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport is listed as 38 km from the guest house.

Spring and autumn are suitable for walks when temperatures are milder. In summer, plan hikes for early in the day and leave time to cool off in the swimming pool. You could spend a day walking a circular route near Utelle, stopping in a neighbouring village and relaxing at the property. For Nice’s beaches and museums, it is best to plan a separate excursion and allow for the mountain roads. A car makes it easier to travel between the villages, trails and coast.
